I have a 2006 tacoma regular cab 5spd manual. I was wondering if its possible to change it to an auto transmission, and how much it would cost?

    Welcome to TW.

Well, you would need the tranny, ECU, a new wiring harness, possibly drive shaft(s), radiator, etc. etc.

No one that I know of has performed this "operation". It will be very costly in materials and labor.

Bottom line; anything is possible with enough $$$, time and energy. Oh, did I menation $$$$?

I know some guys on my desert site I'm apart of have done it in their race trucks. There is a site that sells adaptors for other tannys. It's not going to be cheap but it would be less then putting in a oem one in.

Trading it would be much less expensive.
