    Hi everyone,

I recently purchased a 2013 Toyota Tacoma and I'm considering adding a backup camera. I’ve heard that some models may come pre-wired for this feature. Can anyone provide insight on how to check if my truck is pre-wired for a backup camera?

Pull the cover from the tailgate and look inside to see if you have the electrical cable inside...
Or if you can see the bottom of the tailgate the wire loom for the camera enters the bottom of the tailgate on the passenger side (right side)

But also check to make sure you have four wires going to the cab of the truck at the harness connection going to the tail gate under the bumper that Jimmyh mentioned. Some just have two wires going to the cab, and that isn't just a plug n play. Here are a couple threads.
