Nice generalization.... I live in Quebec and the day that they invented the languauge law 101 a crap load of buisinesses left... now the seperatist PQ party has just assumed a minority government, which IMO might last two years. People in quebec are tired of seperation they just wanted change. That being said i would be packing er up if that occured....(i miss b.c.) So ya like everything else in this world differences cause problems, we just gotta cope with it the best we can.

That being said we do surf up here!! (In the golf of the st-lawrence) ... Just get ready for some serious shrinkage.

the french school board's sign in town is in french only, I've often considered filing a complaint with the city out of principle.

are the more fiscally responsible states forced to give Kalifornia $7-8 billion a year, like BC, AB, SK, and NFLD are forced to give quebec?
do students in Kalifornia riot/protest their tuition fees when they already have the lowest in the country?
are the politicians in Kalfornia involved in a kickback scheme with the mafia?

equalization money isn't necessarily infrastructure money, there are no guidelines or limitations on how they spend it.
equalization was intended to bring "comparable levels of service" to each province, what we have now is better healthcare and social programs in "have not" provinces than in so called "have" provinces.
