Just got this from Rock Auto, Dorman assembly, but it appears the dust cover underneath the hub is missing? I gotta get this back on the road!!!!

Can anyone comment on whether or not this seal is crucial?

Nevermind, I am sending it back, gonna have the dealer press in a new bearing on my hub for $255 tomorrow, need this truck on the road like YESTERDAY! Pisses me off since I paid $65 to have Rock Auto ship overnight. Total was $205, so for $50 bucks more I get all Toyota parts......

It's the only seal on the outboard side of the bearing, so yes, it's slightly important. Good call on returning that!

Yeah thanks, I debated on just throwing it in due to the need to have my truck road ready, but I really didn't/don't want to be back in there replacing another bearing prematurely because I rushed it....luckily the dealership has the parts on hand, the time, and I have the money.....
