You may have to go with other financing to get a 0% interest rate. I don't recall seeing TFS offering that low of an interest rate on the Tacoma's or 4Runners

There's a new member on here that works for the financing dept at a Toyota dealership, and he mentioned in another thread yesterday that Toyota won't offer 0% on Tacomas anytime soon because they essentially sell themselves. He did say though that if gas prices were to spike high over summer that that might do it, because people stop buying trucks pretty abruptly when that happens.

Can't remember his username but maybe he'll chime in

A month ago the best Toyota Financial was offering was 3.99 which I took. But My insurance company State Farm said they offer 2.48 so I'll be switching soon if I could get them to call me back. Poor customer service from State Farm so may just look elsewhere. My BMW is at 2.99 from BMW Financial. It's almost paid off.

Just purchased a truck last week and locked in 2.4% for 5 years. They first quoted me over 4 and said that's the best they can do. Then I called them back saying a local credit union could do under 3% and "magically" they found a bette rate immediately thereafter.

Have been plenty of turdgens (yes 4wd too) on the local Toyota lots here in AZ. The only elusive ones are DCLB and the Manual trans as usual. Can't remember the last time they were lined up on lots like this....go back to late 2015 early 2016 you could hardly find a 4wd Turdgen anywhere.

You don't need a local credit union search all over the country for any credit union. Google is your friend... 95% of them will allow you to join even if it seems like a exclusive membership type credit union usually they have a club or local library you can make a $10 or $20 membership donation to and then they grant you membership. Example here is one I found a couple years ago that was offering very competitive rates. They just make you donate to a local library club (all part of membership packet) to get access to their rates. You can do it all over phone, mail and email. https://www.nswcfcuonline.org/

Supply has exceed demand now since the "turd" gens have been out for almost 2 years now.
My local dealership had 11 tacomas on the lot back in January but this month they have 27 on their lot. Also I believe the factories are pumping out the last set of 2017s since they are about to start production on the 2018s in July and trying to get enough inventory on the lot to last for a couple months before the 2018s hit the lot.

OP, get approved with a credit union before setting foot in a dealership. Toyota's rates suck for the Tacoma. I got stuck with a 3.9% interest rate with them but that is spilled milk at this point. This was only my second car purchase so I didn't know any better.

Even that credit union is 2.49 as of today. Interest has just gone up across the Board. I'm sure there is a deal somewhere but generally finding below 2.49 right now is tough.

Auto loan rates are like grocery store sales...they change all the time from place to place. You just have to shop around to find the best rates. Just because one place had the lowest rates two months ago and went up doesn't mean all the others went up too. Maybe one with traditionally high rates have dropped.

You can finance with Toyota to get rebates and best deal then refinance the next day with better rate somewhere else

You usually only see 0% financing on vehicles that have a hard time selling. Despite what you read on here, the 3rd gens are still selling like crazy. That's why you see them all over the place. For that reason alone, I don't think you'll see 0%. I think best you can probably get is 1.9% through a credit union but auto rates currently are around 2.49-2.99% for Tier 1 scores.

I too went with a Credit Union. Had the option to pay off the truck in 4yrs with 1.9% or 5yrs at 2.2%. Went with the 5 years as the payments were lower in case I ever got into financial trouble, but so long as I am financially sound, I always pay more than the bill. Direct deposit with CU knocked off another .25% and they gave me $100 for taking out a loan with them as opposed to TFS.

That being said, Victory Toyota in Seaside, CA...and yes, I will call them out, tried to file the loan themselves despite my telling them a dozen times I was pre-approved through the CU. Thirty-minutes of the salesperson going back and forth to the manager resulted in me threatening to walk out on the sale. Only then did the salesperson 'get it' and began to file the correct paperwork to make use of the CU loan.

I think it's on vehicles they have an excess inventory on or high volume vehicles.
The Camry is toyota's best selling model consistently selling 350-400k units a year and they offer 0% on the Camry versus the Tacoma selling 150-200k units a year.

The manufacturer offers 0% APR. 0% isn't always the best way to go either since you lose any cash rebates by taking the no interest loan.

Tacoma only offers the military or college rebate so there isn't any manufacturing cash back incentives but it's still possible to get a good deal.

"If your financing a vehicle anyway you are not being financially responsible anyway according to Dave Ramsey" (sarcasm)
Just pay cash for the taco and be done with it.
