I'm in the market for a new Taco. What I want is a Super White Access Cab TRD Sport, V6, MT-6, so I talked to my buddy at the dealership, and he said that there's nothing out there. They're going to try, but the last one they got was for the owner's son, and it took 5 months to get it!

I want an Access Cab because I need the 6 foot bed. I don't carry rear passengers, and at 225.5 inches (19 feet) the 6 foot bed Crew Cab would barely fit in my garage. I also don't like the idea of the larger turning radius that comes with the 13.2" longer wheelbase.

I scanned Toyota's vehicle finder in zip codes out to 200 miles and came up with several MT-6 Crew Cab Tacos, but there wasn't a single MT-6 Access Cab in any color or configuration. Zilch!

    So I'm concerned.

Er.. you're asking about Access cab being dead, and not MT?

Washington State is as far away from me as you can get, and still be in the continental US.

I assume you want a 4x4, but look at my post history. I looked for this truck for about 3 years before giving up, they exist but are incredibly rare. I was specifically looking for a Prerunner 2nd gen though.

Try CarGurus, and you may have to push search out further. I used that to locate mine, dealer couldn't find exactly what I wanted but I did using CarGurus.

That’s how I found mine. There were only 3 manuals within 1000 miles. The one I chose was over 600 miles away.
They delivered it to me for less than a plane ticket and gas money to do the fly/drive thing.

You know that you're right at the end of the model year. Dealers just aren't loading up with 2019 inventory when the 2020s will be delivered in a little over a month. You may as well wait and get the exact truck you want. That is unless you don't want the electric seats, LED lights, 8" head unit, etc.

Only AC CB on the lot at Capital Toyota, Chattanooga when I bought. If all that had been on the lot were DC SB's I'd have left without buying.

I don't know but what Toyota will discontinue the MT and Access Cab for 2020! I had no trouble getting a 2007 FJ MT-6 and a 2014 Taco TRD Off Road MT-6, but I don't know what 2020 will bring.

Charlie (is going to contact those dealers in MO)
