so you mounted the axle...like a 5 lug? with the leafs underneath?

it looks like it actually lifted the truck an inch or two

not sure how it was interpreted, hopfully i can clerify.......
1)i have an aal from a 6 lug..... on a 5 lug... since it "wont work"
2)i have shocks form a 6 lug.... on a 5 lug.... since it "wont work" either
    3) yes the leafs are the same, and they are still under axle (unless there is an easy way of moving it which i doubt)

Its 3 -4 i feel, however since there may be a discrepancy in the differance ill get the measurements by friday.

    Hope this helps:rolleyes:

oh ok...so you don't have the main pack of 6 lug leafs then, just the aal? and the shocks.

haha i didn't say it won't work...im actually planning on using the 6 lug's leaf pack to lower my truck...since they are flatter than the stock 5 lug's leafs.

so the u bolt U part is on the axle still and not the leafs? lol you need some pics haha

    good job though

its good.... i just dont want people thinking im claiming i have something i dont.... i want to be clear with it all.... ill take pics when i get home in the morning if im not too tired......

eventually the boss may not like my waste of time abiliites while on the clock :)

i didnt want you to think that your saying its not going to work, but the most common assumption between most taco owners is that all components are different and wont work from truck to truck......

Im looking to enlighted everybody on the reasons why it will, or it wont work. But thank you all for the help thus far, and feel free to ask questions :D

It will never fit. And even if by some miracle you get them in?
Your tire will be like this \--/ the 5 lugs just don't have the same clearance.

The reason you can't get the old shocks out is the LCA, along with the UCA.
Un bolt the UCA's from the spindles. and then you may need to loosen the cam bolt from the LCA.

    Good Luck!

Brute force works... heh ive been known to break a few things like that :) ie my tailgate.....

I guess this is when my inexperience comes in, how will a 3 inch longer coil and strut \-/ the wheels, and a spacer lift does not?

    thanks for the info

EDIT: yes it does apply, but there still is barely enough room even when i compress the spring a bit, even with it on the truck... lower control arm springs back up and i cant get enough give on it to pull the assembly out

tried it, read the directions wrong the first time :)

if you 5 lug is the same setup, it's just 2 bolts on the bottom. take those off and the LCA should lower more
