Chris may be amazing at destroying things (or building tools of destruction), but he's equally amazing fixing things! (or so I'm told)

He can work on my rig anytime!

Unless you had that in writing, your best bet might be to bite the bullet on this one. If they really want to be an ass, they could easily file a mechanics lean. Even if there is no true merit behind the claim, it can still be filed, and left up to you to take care of, and then prove otherwise through the proper legal process.

The only reason why I say this is because I've been screwed like this in the past.

They CAN NOT hold your vehicle. If they want you to pay, they must go thru a collection process.

Its really a shame how criminals/theafs/unethical business owners can actually use our legal system to their advantage. Absolute horse crap.

So did they actually cut the bump stops off for you, or take your truck and tell you they couldn't cut them off THEN say you had to pay 100 dollars to pick it up? I am not sure i understood your post completely.

Yeah here in LA, they try that stuff all the time, it really all depends on if you show up with more buddies that are bigger and meaner than the dudes in the garage, LOL, at least at the ghetto ass smog stations.
