2000 Tacoma. Don't want to spend too much money. Rubber parts are deteriorating. Weatherstripping, window seals, hoses, etc.

    Alternative to replacing them?

Using silicone spray should help, but it's something that should be done every few months.

hey, be my guinea pig.... fluid film is known to swell( and ruin) door seals. if yours are dried and bad, wipe some on and see if it will bring it back to life! ittl probably ruin it so beware.

then again, ive seen alot of money spent on band aids that never really work. and then doing it the right way. avoid wasting money on " quick easy cheap" if just replacing them doesnt cost THAT much more.
or.... just deal with the crap seals. up here in the rust belt we dont see many 2000 tacos or for that matter.. anything pre-2nd gen, they all rusted away. feel lucky you still got yours!

Fluid Film may affect non oil resistant rubber, that being natural rubber. It will not affect synthetic rubber.

Can try back to black, I use it on all my seals now. Best off replacing them though and maintaining new ones properly

    Just thinking out loud.

I wonder if leather conditioners will soften rubber seal.

I use 1z Gummi Pflege on my seals and rubber trim.
