i would rather pay 20k for that 18 year old truck
than 10k for a brand new bmw, if it was my last vehicle purchase.

edit: sorry i caught myself exaggerating here. i meant to say i wouldn't
pay 5k for a brand new bmw.

I sure wouldn’t pay that. It’s a nice truck, but it’s pushing 20 years old.

I'd ask the insurance company what they have it valued at. Like I edited, unless you have a value-stated policy, I would be shocked if insurance has the truck valued at that.

It's basically what classic car insurance does with classic cars - where in reality they're old junk and should be worthless, but they have a high worth anyway.

    No way.

KBB limited edition 30K miles shows in excellent condition (only 3% of cars) , 12-14K trade in and 3rd party private sale 14.7K high.
Very good condition drops a few k$.

    It's worth about 12.5K IMO.

    No way, more of novelty.
In TW style, someone will overpay, so they can gain the attention their mother never gave them as a child, and go tell people in other gen forums how awesome it is, and how everything built the second after that particular one was made, is pure junk.

Naw they're seeking male approval because dad wasn't around. Today the like tank is being filled via black Friday buying, buying shit they don't need just so they can post a pic of some new sliders, skids, wheels tires for a lifestyle. They gotta get those likes, up votes and followers. I don't give a fuck it anyone doesn't get turned by my stock Tacoma. It would get lost an Applebee's parking lot anyways. The pathetic part is for some depression won't set in until Jan for some. The likes came and gone like a summer storm, but the credit card debt will remain relative to a giant red spot in their lives.

They will if a 6th Gen is 100K. I think that's the game rules now. Got to get the drivers off the road somehow to make room for Johnny Cabs

He’s putting together a TW novel, don’t take anything personal. Look for it’s release early 2020, we’re all in it.

Insurance doesn't care about what YOU or anybody else thinks your truck is worth, they pay Nada prices.

Speculation is everything in collecting. Saying something will be collectible or not isn't how it's played (well, except exotics) I bet a lot of these high dollar low mile sales are going in garages, never to roll the 100s of 1000s. JMO.

The only Toyota anything I’ve seen sell for a premium over original price is a Supra and the very occasional fj60.

Every other low mileage Toyota the owner thinks it’s worth an original $250,000 1960’s Mustang GT500 and they end up dying without selling it.

    This was a steal

You CAN get insurance however you want, insure your big toe if you want. Gonna cost though according to risk. Wanna drive everyday? Gonna cost like a 2020 model.

edit: Oh hell you live in Vegas. You know it's all about the odds and you can bet *insurance* on anything.
