Thinking about trading the FJ for an 05 prerunner access cab 4 cyl 5 speed. Truck has about 131000 on it. Dealers asking about 15 k. That seems a little steep but don't know.

Also are there any known issues I should look for. I'll be doing research tomorrow as I'll be making a decision friday. I drove the truck today and really liked it. Looked pretty clean and had descent power. Much better than the 4 cyl frontier I used to have. The mileage makes me a little nervous but everything I read says these trucks last virtually forever. Thanks for the input.

It does seem kinda high. Depends where you are though and what there going for in your area.

Seems high even for central Cali where I'm at. I've found a couple around this price but with a lot less miles.

That seems high to me, but that's because I paid 13k a month ago for my 07 SR5 4x4, 123k miles. Negotiate that price down!

Big things to check are front wheel bearings, u-joints (especially being 2WD and non-greasable), driveshaft carrier bearing and if its pillow block is intact, ball joints and their boots, and so forth. Without 4x4 you don't have to worry about the front diff bearing or CV boots.

    Way high.

My 2010 AC I4 stick Prerunner had 18,000 miles when I bought it for $18,000 a year ago. From a dealer no less.

This strictly a budgetary move. Wouldn't do it otherwise, but do miss having a manual transmission.
