I have a bit of leverage in that I am not in a rush to pull the trigger. If deal falls through, so be it. I will upload a build sheet if they send me one here soon.

assuming carpet floor mats. Dealers won't let you out without floor mats

Got mine for $32k. Manual is a bit cheaper and I didn't get the tonneau cover. Also, it was one of only 2 in MD in that color.

Negotiating will be a little harder since it's not a popular trim but, I'd hold out at $33k. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what you pay as long as you're happy about the deal. Enjoy!

Well dealer e-mailed me and basically said price would be this listed MSRP minus 140 for mud guards and minus 1000 dealer discount. Making price be ~$35,250. Not sure if this is part of the dance or what but at this point I told him no.

I paid $35,500 for mine in So.Cal back in March. 2016 TRDOR DCSB, 2wd, tech package with JBL, Towing package and bed cover. Wife wasn't having it if I didn't get the heated seats

Sounds like a sleezy salesman. I would buy elsewhere just on principal.

I ordered an Inferno Access Cab TRD Sport 4x4 M/T from a dealer. We spoke of a number and they agreed over the phone so when I went there I got a different salesman and they marked up the price like $2500. I paid a deposit then went to another dealer. Got a double cab TRD Sport 4x4 M/T for less a week later. Went to the dealership I ordered the inferno one from in my new truck and got my deposit back. Glorious.

tell him where to put it

California law accepts verbal agreements so if you were illegally recording your phone conversation with a lower price you may be able to get it

I have no issue telling them to stuff it and walking away. He gave me the "I am going to speak with my sales manager and get back to you soon" line just now.

sales managers don't do shit. They just look at their computer screen that tells them what the cost of the truck is.

There was a General Manager at one dealership we went to who was answering phone calls at the front customer service desk. I was shocked

Agreed, everything is in writing or it didn't happen. OP i don't know where you are located but my salesman in So.Cal found my truck and picked it up for me and we worked out all the numbers via email. Also waived the $500 deposit too.
