is this possible?

alright so i dont know if im just dreaming big dreams here or if this is possible....

this is what i want to do if this can be done. is there any way to get my zune (micosoft mp3 player) turn off when i turn my truck off and for it to turn on when i turn my truck on?? is there anyway to reprogram it or wire it some how to make this work?

i know its kind of a stupid question dont think its possible but if you have any idea let me know what you think!

 

It would be possible if Microsoft hadnt locked down its software. Try google to see if any one has figured a way to do it

how do you turn on and off the zune? maybe that's the start. find ways to link it to the ignition.

 

ok here is a picture of the same zune i have.



the read circle is were you hold down that button for 2 to 3 sec and it turns on or off, the other green like rectangle is were i plug the charger.

so i was thinking if i can wire something to the ingnition of the truck through the charger cable. im sure i could just run a wire from the on/off button to the ignation but them i would have an ugly exta wire hanging out, and i think it would pretty much be stuck in the truck.

 

hey now we all have stupid questions from time to time!!! i even admited it in the first post.

i just figure it would make things a little easier beacuse ima dumbass and i always forget to turn it off then it dies.

but its not like i cant just charge it i know!!
