baja trucks are awesome, dont get me wrong, those have opened my eyes to a whole new world of offroad trucks.. I grew up in the NW where a truck was for the mountains.

I have a 2001 PreRunner. No 4X4 unfortunately but it is on the 4X4 suspension, and I like being higher up. But when I get another Tacoma I think it will be 4X4.

4x4...better to have it and not need it then to need it and not have it. ive had the truck 3 months and used it a bunch of times between playing around offroad and the snow so im glad i have it.

and im sick of people with their "it isnt a truck unless its 4x4" attitude. to each his own - if you wanna lower a 4x4 or lift a 4x2 have at it. Do what makes you happy, not what some dumbass thinks a truck should be.

Hey I am coming up on my 30,000 mile maintenance project. It says in the booklet to change out the limited-slip differential oil. Anyone know where I can find this oil and how to swap it out? I think chris4x4 told me once but that was a while back.

I still wish I had a 4x4, but it was a gift, so I'm not complaining too much. :D

I'll definitely be getting a double cab 4x4 the next time around!

4x4 all the way, it's a nice sense of security to know that it'll go anywhere.

Prerunner. I wanted a 4x4 but I got such a good deal on my truck, I couldn't pass it up. Now that I've had it for a while, I'm not sure if I would trade it for a 4x4. It seems to handle what I want to do with it. If I get the itch for a 4x4, I may just buy a beater down the road.

Haha that's like the opposite of me. I barely even use my 4 wheel drive. I think I've used it more running it monthly to spin the drive shaft and to keep the fluids running then actually using it off-road or something. Ha, I just barely used it in 4-low last weekend and that was the first time ever and that was just around the block a few times!

eh.. you dont want to use 4 lo around the block... you dont even want to use 4 hi around the block... Cement and 4x4 dont mix. Take it on the dirt to test it out unless ou want to break something
