I just was pondering how informative this website is and how much everyone here helps each other out. So while I'm just sitting around being lazy it made me think....how much of my truck did I buy off of someone here that was selling it? Or swap or trade? I just thought it would be interesting to see how much of the mod items on our trucks we have on our vehicles are someone else's purchase.

I'm not sure how many I've purchased on TW, but there are a number of things I've purchased as a result of being a member of TW.

I've purchased three things, one from here, one from TN, and one from ebay.

IMO it really doesn't matter if it was someone else's and you bought it or traded for it. If you paid for it and/or took the time to put it on then its yours.

It's a whole different story if someone else paid for all your parts and you claim it as your truck!

Im proud of my truck and proud to say it's really mine! I'm sure everyone else on here is too!

I'm pretty sure it's mine, I do have the title that says so. If you mean have I taken something stock & made it mine, yes on that. Work in progress still. If you mean do you have more of other people's items than new then that'd be 70/30% new. If you mean other people's ideas then that'd be about about 20/80% ideas gleaned from here.

Im not saying buying it off of someone else doesnt make it yours. I was just curious. I have purchased a bunch on this website and invested even more because of seeing all the cool mods on everyone elses truck. I love all the help on this site. Its an addiction now

I think 2 things out of 13 or so mods are from someone else. Tonneau cover and the intake were on my truck when I bought it.

Its yours, unless you bought it used from the dealership with someone elses work on it (lift, wheels, etc).
