HA! I was a beta tester for 95, 98, Meloonium, and XP, as well as MS Games group. When they released ME to production, the beta group had a shit fit, as we all knew it was not ready.

Have not played with "8" yet.

Seems like 8 is just 7 with a fancy homescreen for mobile devices

What about a new kernel or FS?

I guess the new FS is coming with the next Windows Server...

I had a beta copy from Intel that I installed. Worked solid, even with my crazy SCSI-2 controller and RAID setup. I had to reinstall for some reason (I think I did some upgrades or reconfiguring), and it all went to shit, lol.

    This exactly...

The consumer preview is out now and I have yet to try it out, but with the developer preview it ran and felt like Windows 7 just a slightly different UI. Perhaps there were tweaks to it's kernel, but it felt the same.

And Windows 95 wasn't tooo bad, but they got it spot on with Windows 98SE and then Windows XP...When I tried to install Windows ME under Microsoft's Virtual PC once and it Blue Screened.

I just hope the new UI for Windows 8 isn't on consumer desktops and laptops...it's more suited for mobile devices than a desktop to me.

Fixed some backup exec issues today. Did a P2V conversion to a vSphere cluster. Nothing major.

Our BI is busted. Wish I knew more about MDX/OLAP and maybe I could fix it.
I have a report that never finishes. Yay.
