    that is exactly it. If you don't they are locked down and you won't be happy. We got my dad the galaxy tablet 7" wifi for my Dad for Christmas. It is awesome, but about $150 more that the nook. It also has GPS and Bluetooth, something that the nook and fire don't have.

    And Front Facing camera's too right?

    I dont know about the fire...my nook has no cameras and no microphone. It'd be cool to be able to use skype.

    It does have bluetooth and it works, but not properly. Supposedly the next version of CyanogenMod for the Nook Color will have full bluetooth functionality.

    JB = Jailbreak

    A5 = the Processor/GPU chip on the current iPhone 4S and iPad 2, I think iPod Touch too.

    I enjoyed my iPhone 2G (when it wasn't messing up), but I'm done with iOS devices, I'm ready for Android. :cool:

    I can't wait to see how the Intel Atom powered Android devices/phones will do. If i recall correctly from the countless CES articles on PCWorld...the single core Atom chips decimated the current dual core offerings in performance and energy efficiency.

    Yeah.
    A 32-bit OS can only address 4GB of RAM max, so maybe XP is getting too confused. Even if the BIOS sees it, the OS might not. I would do the upgrade to Win7 64 first and then upgrade the RAM. If that doesn't work, make sure the BIOS is up-to-date (or check the BIOS version on a machine that worked for you before and try to match it).

    Also, running memtest will uncover any obvious problems with the memory, but I have found that it can come back clean but the system still doesn't work right.

    Yeah.
    I don't know about energy efficiency, but I am typing this on an Eee PC running Windows 7 with 1GB of RAM -- powered by an Atom N550 CPU. It runs great. Not sure if MS figured out how to tone down their OS or if the Atom is the shizz. I just keep it on the coffee table in front of the TV, hand-me-down from my wife since I got her an Android tablet.

    3/4 Tb in 3 servers. I put in 4 servers like this a few months ago. so between the 7 servers there will be 1.75 Tb of Memory. :D

    edit: here is what it looks like. 8 memory cards each with 4 x 8 Gb dimms.

    Holy crap! I thought our quad quads were the shiz. I stand corrected.
    We just got in a crap ton of nvidia gtx580s. We use them for distributed computing of sorts. Cant wait to see how much faster they are than the older cards.

    Jealous :(

    How do you like the new GTX cards?

    My gaming machine I built eons ago has aged already. Back in the day when Intel just stuck two Pentium 4's on one die..
