Nope. He just used the 'revenue isn't supporting your paycheck' and bailed.

Would have at least liked a little warning, personally.

As to how many jobs there are? Sure, there's tons....on every job board...Monster, CareerBuilder, Dice, LinkedIn...

and most of them want a Sysadmin that used to make 50-70K for ~27-35K now. The glut of folks out of work has driven salaries through the basement floor.

need to find an economy that is doing better than Florida. I just got a friend a Job offer for a sysadmin around the 60k mark in Iowa. Thats about an 80-90k offer in florida with the cost of living differences.

I hear ya mon, I would love to.

Sadly, I have a wife and kid both enrolled in classes down here. Can't exactly up and move in the middle, ya know?

    EDITED to add:

Although, to be honest, I prolly wouldn't turn it down at this point. I'd love an 'excuse' to move the hell out of Florida. Lemme know if you want a resume. :p

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
there's usually a lot of work around charleston for the naval weapons station and AF base. already having a clearance would be a plus.

Can you guy's help me real quick. I just finished up a scan and defrag of my HD, updated some software including Firefox, and now everything on the screen is bigger. Like the icon's are bigger, the tab's on FF are bigger, the task bar at the bottom is bigger, etc. everything within the page is normal sized, like what you're reading right now, just everything that deals with the comp itself is bigger. How could I change that back? Here are the specs on my computer via screenshot, as you can see everything is bigger. If there isn't a fix to it that's no big deal as I'll get used to it but it's just kind of annoying at the moment. Edit: I've also been having a little trouble with webpages freezing especially YouTube video's with Adobe Flash Crashing. I've been sending crash reports but it still hasn't done much good. As of now everything, to my knowledge, is up to date.

Check out xda-developers. They do a lot of mods like that. Just search for your device and look in the deveoper threads.

Here's one where they have debian linux running on an evo.

I have an HP touchpad that can boot into the following:
    WebOS
    Linux
    Android ICS
    Android JellyBean (Pre-alpha)

My Evo can boot into Linux but it's too damn slow for it.

On a side note, who's got a great site to learn Unix commands?

    You can always type:
    Code:
    man ls
to get help on a certain command. ls is the dir cmd like DOS has.
I'd give you some books on Linux and Unix if you lived close, my dad taught computers and electronics for 20 years we have too many books.

Thanks man! Wish I was closer so I could take you up on that offer.

I love Dos/windows, but hate apple. I know minor linux commands so I have some idea on unix, but wanted to learn it in detail since my company is forcing me to work in Apple Development.

I have one, but that isn't for businesses to run in production.

That is ridiculously cheap for a production license.
