It would be awesome, if they sold a complete kit with quality fittings, hoses, spacers/mount plates, DIRECTIONS, etc. The thought of buying the wrong fittings, wrong hoses, or poor quality stuff, has me scared of this mod. Even though we have/had 2 Subaru's, with the remote topside filter, and changes are a breeze. Ski

How about this? For anyone who wants to get one of these complete kits, including the installed fittings, length of hose, mounting plate, etc.... essentially a Plug-N-Play kit, I'd be happy to do all of this for you. Would it help if I did all this for just material cost? Basically a FREE public service for all the help I've received from all of you.

One benefit of doing this would be I simplify the most difficult part of the job- Mounting Plate & Location. Because I would fabricate the mounting plate complete with mounting holes the installation will go in only one spot- the correct spot utilizing holes already in the truck. Not only would this make it much easier, less time, and error free, you ensure the height of the remote filter is optimized.

The secondary benefit is getting the correct hose length so there is no excessive slack and the fittings are installed correctly- the 2nd most difficult part of the job.

Does anybody know if spin on filters will fit through the TRD skid plate access panel?

The spin on filters are no larger in diameter then the filter housing that is being removed.
