How did you not expect it? Since when can you insult someone and not get any backlash?

There's a bunch of cute girls around here who drive new wranglers. If that's a jeep thing, then I'm good with it.

she also drives a pink Vette.

one of each would fill a garage nicely.
(of course most would choose a different color over pink, but Barbie's choice is understandable)

I don't think the Jeep is a "rival" for the Tacoma. its a totally different vehicle. Nissan frontier, chevy Colorado, or whatever...those are more a Rival for the Tacoma. The Jeep is an SUV. If anything, a rival for the FJ.

When I got out of Basic /AIT in 1978 I bought a brand new Jeep CJ5 V8 three speed. I have driven it everywhere and rebuilt it / repaired it from front to back twice engine included from trail use. It cracks me up to see these young kids Jeeps parked at the mall with all there extra bumpers and giant winches and wheels and tires mounted up like the are ready to go to Iraq or something but there is never any dirt on or under their wannabe Jeep (Chrysler) I still own and drive my 1978 CJ5 but I must say my 2013 TRD double cab sport is a lot nicer on my 54 year old back these days. Point is Jeeps need to wear mud like Luxury cars need to wear leather and chrome. If you are scared to get your Jeep dirty trade it!
