    Hey Guys,

Been a while since I've posted. Truck is finally paid off (woot!!!) I got some new tires put on yesterday, went with BFG's 285/75R16 HUGE difference IMO. Looks more aggressive. No rubbing on UCA or frame but...... when i go full lock tires rub on the inside of the front mud flaps. I was just going to remove them but after doing some reading its probably better to trim them or go with an aftermarket solution.

I was looking at the "short" version of Rokblokz http://rokblokz.com/toyota-tacoma-over-sized-tires-05-14.html and wanted to know if anyone has run them or something similar and your thoughts.

    Thanks,

    Alex

Congrats! Paid off is a great feeling!
I don't have any experience with aftermarket mud flaps but there's people here who do and they will probably chime in soon.

I find it somewhat puzzling how someone who was active on TW, takes a 2-year leave of absence.

Takes 9 months to make a baby (wasn't doing truck stuff) and baby is now 10 months old and not so much a "baby" so I have been granted my balls back and can enjoy daddy stuff :) hence, I'm back :)

Thanks guys! First vehicle I have paid off (use to trade in after a few years)

So I spoke to soon and wow I feel like a dumb ass but pride aside... I removed my mud flaps for temporary relief until I figured out what I was going to replace with and I noticed that again, at full lock my tires are rubbing on the cab mount. So.... anyone in San Diego doing cab mount chops :)

Have no fear Jason (Speedfreek) is going to get me dialed in with cab mount chop. If anyone is curious, I have front plate bumper IFS and MID plate skids on 600# springs. My guess is with all the extra weight I have some suspension sag, so my true 2.5 inch lift up front comes to about 1.75 and that wont clear the 285s could go with 700# springs maybe but for now cab mount chop it is.
