If you are planning on switching rims as well make sure you got attention to the backspacing on the new ones.

The Goodyear Duratrac carries the mountain snowflake symbol designating it as a severe weather snow tire, works well in other seasons, and has that tough "offroad look". A friend of mine used Duratrac 285s on his Jeep Rubicon for three years as a daily commuter while still using it for over 30 days per year on the ski hill and many weekends off-roading the difficult trails outside Naches and Nile, WA. Now it's not his DD and ski vehicle so he is transiting to 35" MTs. My 265/75 Duratracs have been through two snowy winters and plenty of difficult off-roading (not as difficult as my friends Rubicon but demanding all the same) and I couldn't be happier.

Another option equivalent to the Duratrac is the Goodyear Authoriity sold by Walmart of all places. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/goodyear-wrangler-authority-the-rangers-review.233752/

Weight is the key. Look for six ply equivalent C or P rated tire.

265/75s are dead easy assuming you have 16" wheels.

I don't know squat about AT tires. A few years ago the Cooper AT3 won the Expedition Portal tire test. They may or may not be any good comparatively in 2017 and the article says nothing about snow and ice.

Yes indeed. I used it on some of my hunting roads that weren't exactly in the best shape and they did well for a less aggressive AT. The truck is so capable as it is until most AT tires will get the occasional off-roader anywhere they want to go. The Michelin was certainly not as aggressive as the Cooper but it still had good grip. It surprised me. The main thing about it was how quiet it was and no decreased mpg. My local dealer sells virtually every brand of tire and I don't know how true this is but he said that Michelin tires are the only ones that are still made in a single molded piece. If you look closely at a lot of tires you can see that they are sectioned together from several sections/pieces of tires. You won't see that with the Michelin. That generally results in a rounder tire and less chances because of the one piece design to be out of round. This prevents balance issues.

Again, this depends on whether or not you want an aggressive tire. Since I thought you didn't want an aggressive tire I recommended the Michelin. If you want a more aggressive tire then there are tons of options and I would suggest you commit some time to reading up on it with some of those great links that have been posted. I'm going to a hybrid AT tire such as the GY Duratrac but that is an aggressive tire if you are only going to do occasional off roading. Either way, you will get a ton of different answers.
