I found a place that is going to do my fender flares and bumpers for 300, figured those are replaceable atleast.

Damn, you guys are hardcore! The truck's value has to drop significantly after doing this- unless someone is specifically looking for a lined truck.

actually it would make it worth more...you would be selling to a smaller target group of course but they are the ones who would pay for it.

the life of your trucks body has been extended better than any other. and repair and replacement as well as maintenance costs have just went down dramatically.

A little off topic but in the same vein, has anyone used this stuff:

    http://www.amazon.com/Duplicolor-Shield-Temporary-Spray-Black/dp/B000FNAENK

It looks kinda like line-x only it washes off with a pressure washer. My truck is my daily driver but I like to go camping/exploring in it, I just hate pinstriping it all the time and we've got a lot of bush up here that grows in really quick. I wonder if this stuff is tough enough to prevent the scratches? Might be good on the bumper, rockers and fenders in winter too.

That red one looks amazing. idk if I could ever do that though...wallet-wise and resale wise. But I think it looks ridiculously good. I'm having the whole bottom 5-6" around my truck done (minus bumpers) soon hopefully.
