    Just wanted to share with my TW family that I have written and published my first book. It is called, "Working With The Mentally Ill-Stories That Will Make You Smile, Laugh, and Maybe Cry." It is based on various situations and patients I encountered over my 34 years of working at various state hospitals and prisons. I initially wrote it hoping schools would use it in addition to their regular textbooks in topics like nursing, psychology, and sociology. It may help someone decide if working in the mental health field is for them or not. Another reason I wrote the book is to help educate the community in general on people with mental illnesses. Contrary to what many believe, most are not locked up in institutions, they are living in the community. Also, having a mental illness has nothing to do with your education, socio-economic level, race, etc. It can happen to anyone.
