Do the Grade 8 washers flex into the holes? I am impatient and wanted them installed so I used the supplied kit. Before I hammer on it wheeling I will upgrade.

If you got the same sliders I did, go get some of those 2"x2" bearing plates(for building foundations) at a building supply. That is all those pelfrybilt ones are, they just welded the nuts on there. I was in a hurry to get them on and didn't even think about using those. grade 8 washers and nuts are just painted a different color, they really aren't any stronger. I kinda thought when installing them they really need a bigger backing plate on the inside of the frame. That's a lot to ask for a small washer in a really big hole if they are ever hung on a rock. not that the sliders will fall off, but when I jacked it up, the square tube darn near touches the rocker panel. if it gives any more the panel would be crushed the whole length of the cab

Grade 8 nuts are about 25% stronger than grade 5. I'd pass on grade 8 washers and go to a square plate at least 3/16" thick.

I did get matching grade 8 nuts for the bolts. Fender washers don't really come in different grades unless a fastener supply can get something, but at that costs the square plates are definitely the best route and will provide a larger contact surface. I'd have to go check, but the kit came with grade 5 bolts, but I'm pretty sure the nuts and washers were just cheap ole grade 2, which explains why the washers pull through the holes so easy, before they really ever get tight.
As for me. I gonna go buy some new grade 8 bolts and nuts because the ones I got were matched to the ones in the kit and need to be longer, especially after adding another 3/16 or 1/4" plate. I would recommend that to anyone who has sliders that don't come with something similar.

not much more money than grade 8 washers. They come in different thicknesses and size. I'm thinking there is room for a couple 3x3 in there. I'll have to crawl under there and check before I go get 'em. 7guage is 3/16" thick, but they have 1/4 for more money and some slotted if need a little wiggle to fit.

I recently installed sos concepts bolt on sliders. They don't budge at all with two wheels off the ground. I just used the supplied hardware.

    Not a great picture.

    Check out the build
I have BAMF weld on's and I use them all the time with a forklift when I rotate my tires. They don't budge.
