Just posted a few suggestions for a nice ride. Hope it wasn't too late for him.

 

I figured it would be good for the guy with 2 wheel experience around here to chime in. He said he's heading down next week so you're not too late.

 

yea hecksure up A1A is nice for a bike ride. Use to take my Busa up that way all the time. I live of new berlin at hecksure and the gate store.

which dunes there some at regency theres some on the left as your heading out to the ocean on hecksure theres some by the old Imerson airport near the Zoo. and theres some out at Huganot park. Either way I would have to say no, Im only 2wd. Ive got aa 4x4 but its an escalade sitten on 22's with street tires on it and dont think it would do to well.

 

the imeson dunes are a big big no no, stay clear of those. you will get chased by police.

 

Hmmm another Heath...Welcome man... By the way I started my Satoshi grill early this week, should be done by sunday if everything works out.. Bought some Hella 500's for behind the grill. Got them for $54 what a deal, reg: $78, got a 10% military discout and a coupon for 15% off can't beat that will post pics when I'm done....

 

Nice. Your gonna wana put some HIDS in the hellas. I was kinda dissapointed at how bright they were when i put mine in. HIDs make a huge difference.

 

So not that bright huh.. I did see a post with a step by step of the conversion, if I do it, it won't be for a few more months till I save up some cash..

 

Well throw them in and see for yourself. I needed more light than what they offered but now they are what i want. I just got a set of the cheap DDM tuning ones and they work great for what i need.

Well I am at the point where all the sanding and bondo is complete, still trying to decide if I want to use fiberglass or Loctite 2 part epoxy(for use with a ABS plastic) for the gaps on the side. See the toyota grill was formed in a mold, and has a added Release agent put into the material before it going into the mold, so it will come out of the mold, so fiberglass resin, or a vinylester resin won't bond to the abs plastic aswell, but i have seen the pics of the write ups and some used fiberglass, who knows how well it bonded, hmm I think I just convinced myself LOL, so Loctite it is.

 

Most of that is jiberish to me haha

do you have to ask? I am going to wait untill everything is installed but yes i am itching to go. I will be ordering tires in a day or so and it only takes about 1-2 days to arrive and than i will take them and get them installed.

 

Hey jason if you are free sat morning i will be installing the last of what i have. I am going to try and kick it off as early as possible so if your free let me know.

 

where do you guys go wheeling. Is it mud or sand. id love to come and check it out. Hell im down lets do it. now you guys are making me wanna go in a different direction. instead of putting all this money in my tacoma (for a turbo) I should have just got my caddy lifted and new tires.

you know I must say there are alot more tacoma owners on this site that are from my area than in CT. there were only like 4 or 5 from ct but here theres like n entire page of us thats cool.

Let my introduce my self. Im 41 over weight and unemployed and love tacomas. I live on the north side off new berlin and love going to the beach in the summer. I do take my caddy out there all the time its my only 4x4 and it does pretty well for being as big and heavy as it is on street tires. not much of a mechanic but I love to hang out drink beer and tinker with shit. my biggest hobbie is car audio and my boys at Rollin sound can take care of any and all your stereo needs. They also do custom pieces with fiberglass. my boy Chris is magical with that stuff. (for custom speaker enclosures) They also have a computer with a plotter for vinal graphics. There prices are very reasonable if you know me Ive been a good costomer for a very long time so if you need anything let me know and Ill see what I can do for you. Any time you guys wanna get together let me know and Im down.
