I am a mechanical engineering major and have always loved building things so i picked up fabrication. all my bumpers are built by me and the armor unless specified will be from me as well. i will not review my own products but will do a write up on them and answer any questions about them. i will also build you something if you like it that much!

when i bought the truck.

• bought the truck with 170,000 miles on it
• had the 285/75 r 17 bfg all terrains
• toytec coil overs in the front
• add a leaf in the rear.
• cut front fenders and inner fenders

exterior mods.

• AOf front bumper
• AOF front hybrid bumper with custom crossmember relocated 4" higher
• AOF high clearance rear bumper with dual swing out carriers 40/60 split with 20 lbs co2 tank, two 4 gallon rotopax, spare tire, trasharoo, axe and shovle.

• make mounts for 4' arb awning to mount off the back of the bed rack
• make mount off swing out for backup camera
• mount and wire lights in bed rack for bed lights,
• run lighting and power to tool box for lights, dewalt battery charger.
• finish the tred mount
• run power to winch in and out controls in over head console
• on board water
• on board hot water
• run air hose for quick connections in bed and front bumper.

SOLID AXLE SWAP!!!

I chose a 79 ford high pinion HD dana 44 for the axle of choice for the SAS

Why?

1. The axle is the perfect axle for the truck and tucks up in between the frame and the oil pan very very very well
2. The tubes on this thing is 1/2 inch thick so not worrying about braking anything
3. The width of this axle is perfect for the truck
4. Dana 44s are the most comon thing in the world to find parts for and so it works with the truck being expo.
5. I do not plan on going over 35s for this truck so i do not need huge over kill.

• 3 link with track bar
• Lowers are 2 inch diameter by 0.250 wall DOM tubing
• Upper, track bar, tie rod, and drag link are all 1.5 diameter by 0.250 wall DOM tubing.
• Lower rod ends are 1.25 hiems with 3/4 inch grade 8 bolts.
• Upper, and track bar rod ends are 7/8 hiems with 5/8 grade 8 bolts
• Tie rod, and drag link rod ends are 3/4 hiems with 3/4 inch bolts.

how was every ones turkey day!!

 

Well sense it was to cold out today to do out side things I did inside things. And thanks to @Tacoma SS idesided I wanted my bass again. And so I built a box to Put it behind the passenger seat and have a pioneer class d amp on its way to replace my five Chanel. Got to test fit things! Fits like a glove!! This is as close to a rapper as I will ever get
Sounds so good to have my bass back and it does not rattle at all!!! @Tacoma SS im going to have to hit you for making me want to buy some of that shok stuff now!!!!

 

Box looks great, did you get instructions from somewhere or just do it yourself?

 

Just built it my self. Not that bad it's like the 4th sub box I have built. The drawer system we built for my buddy's grand was harder.

 

Well it looks like I will see my iluminated 4 wheel drive switch today! Thanks @rcbs204 for it and thanks for doing more of these!

And I should see some LED's for the dash today!
