I'm a long way from starting, my truck is missing something major that prevents me from starting. I'm missing 4 wheel drive, couldn't justify the extra $$$ when I bought it for something that I did not NEED. Buyers remorse set in almost immediately, but the way these trucks keep their value, I should be able to trade mine in and get into a 4x4 pretty easily in the next year or so.

Another factor in my decision to go Pre-Runner was the fact that there isn't a lot of public land with trails to go offroading in TX. My goal is to find employment in CO, OR, WA, ID and get a 4x4 Taco and spend my weekends out exploring.

That one sucked. But I'm just a lowly civil.

In other news I've started going through the old posts in this thread. But no good sas stuff yet.

    Why the D44 instead of a 60?

Ride hight. And my buddy is building a jeep on tons and 40"min. I like this truck to much to trash it so i am making it an expo build then down the road ill either make a tube chassis and buggy or get an old truck like my pickup and truggy that. Or just truggy the old truck completely....

    The world may never know.

Cool. I'd like to do a sas but won't be in the budget for another year I'd think. Most of what I've read says go with the Dana 60 if you're gonna go through the work of doing a sas. It looks like the 44 tucks in there very nicely though. I don't like the monster truck look... I'd like to run 37s and not have to worry about breaking shit too much though. I read an earlier post where you said you were sticking to 35s, but would you have much concern about running 37s? Loaded up my truck is about 6000lbs so it's not exactly light.

to many to list, check the build thread
This thread almost (ALMOST) moves as fast as the dumb CO BS thread. I gave up on that thing a long time ago. Its only a matter of time before i give up on the bucket of bolts build :D

should i get a case of Dr Pepper now to entice you to finish your bumper so you can start a rack
