    I could possibly do it on the passenger side in the same spot where your ABS is. Since I have a 2009, my ABS is on the opposite side

    I put one on a jack yesterday and compressed it with weight of truck it compressed to roughly 1.75 .....bump without mounting plate is 3"
    Edit:: sorry they are3.5" without mounting plate

    No if you look at that picture he built a tower out of washers... I will need 1" of washers which I will j b weld together and the ubolt flip will add .25 I need 3" collapsed oh and the mounting plate another.25.. That's 5". I think I'll be good..

    The bump stop is 4" factory from GM. Stack the thickest washers you can find at the hardware store (zinc plated to avoid rust preferably) to .5" to give you 4.5" of total bump stop height. The black metallic part of the bump stop takes up an inch of overall height I believe. If you need more bump than 4.5" of height you probably need air bumps because the only time I was bottoming out the GM bumps was when I was hammering the truck out in the dunes. And even then, it wouldn't had been an issue if the shock valving was more on the firm side.
