Bought her in June 2017. Finally got me my Taco. Had a 94 pickup for 10 years before hand and still in the family over 250k miles.

This ones coming along nicely. Basically want a classy off-road look. Daily driver but if need be I can get off-road.

    Current as of 9/2023
    IMG_3728.jpg

    First Day
    1ST.jpg

    Took off bull guard
    IMG_0852.jpg

    Added BFG TAKO2's
    IMG_0857.jpg

Added Anzo headlights. They light up really well. Very pleased.
    Update 3/2/21

These headlights have died, I restored them summer of 2020 and that lasted 5 months barely. Moisture is now constant in the drivers side. Light output sucks with the stock halogens, HIDs are a must to make them doable but the right side has a large angle that can definitely blind anyone to your right....
Back to stock TSB TRD Sports in a later post with pictures

    IMG_0867.jpg
    IMG_0872.jpg

Removed topper, painted grill emblem, added TRD exhaust tip.
Took it in for the Leaf Spring recall. Apparently this model already has the new ones.
    Am ok with that!

    image3.jpg

Quick fix for fog lights until light bar

    image2.jpg

Plasti-Dipped the emblems and chrome Trd tip
    Added Billy 5100's at 1.75"

Hey there brother. I have a 2008 and I'm experiencing some rubbing issues when I make right turns. Did you rub at all? I'm thinking of trimming my mudflap to prevent rubbing while I buy a leveling kit. I want 5100's, but I already bought Rancho RS5000 for the rear, so I'll have to stick with Rancho front struts.

Clean ride! But yes, before I did my 5100 @1.75 leveling I did rub a chunk. Once I leveled it out I don’t experience it at all.

Thanks! Do you think a 2" leveling spacer will do the trick?

I would definitely say so, going up 1.5-2” would solve it. I’ve got perfect clearance right now with my 265’s. Looks like the same set up as yours. Good choice ;)

Yes, exact same tire/size. I like BFGoodrich, I previously had Firestone Destination A/T. I recently got my truck a much needed paint job, my dad bought my tires as an early birthday gift, I'm 16, and my birthday is in October.

Can’t go wrong with em. I’ve had them forever. Went through two sets with my 94 pick up. Had some wranglers that came with it, and they just howled and road hard. TKOs are a good call.

But, if you ever can. 5100/6112 are a good call. Smooth ride. I’m about to upgrade my coils to OME 885 to give that 2.5 lift and I hear it’s a great feel. Food for thought!

If I ever save up enough money, I'll upgrade my suspension height. Right now, I'm trying to make my truck look like a badass budget build.

Don’t blame you there! Exactly what I’m trying to do.

Ps, don’t mind me noticing. But I see you’re in McAllen. Yall ever go to Drifters Hamburgers?

Drifters originated in the Springs lol I’m engaged to the owners daughter. They franchised down to McAllen a few years ago. Small world! Call me biased when I say you should give em a go!

Wow, that's cool. That drifters place used to be a Church's chicken, and is right next to a Heart Hospital.

Oh, the area where I live is known as The Lower Rio Grande Valley, RGV for short. If Drifters is headquartered in CO, Why did they open one in McAllen?

Gotcha. Nah, born and raised in CO. And the franchisees wanted one and the owner like the franchisees a lot. Rest is history really.
