Lol. What about the additional adjustments. Spc still wins.

My local TW members pointed me in the right direction for a reputable alignment shop when I got my aftermarket UCAs. :)

Also need to remove the lower ball joint nut. So that's 5 total nuts/bolts. Ha

Heck yeah. It's good to have those things lined up so you can get whatever you want installed after purchase. Plus we have a local Tacoma guy who is doing an LS Twin Turbo swap to his Tacoma .... so he can pretty much do anything mechanically that anyone needs. :D

It's all entry level. They even work with extended travel setups.

It's entry level until you go SAS.

I didn't like the fact that the SPCs were adjustable. It may be a nice feature, but that seems to be an extra possible point of failure. Or at least your alignment getting knocked out of whack much easier since it slides to adjust and is then locked down with a nut.

Isnt it the ball joints ability to droop further than the stock UCA that allows it to work with extended travel? The built in additional caster just pushes the arm back a bit 2* to help get better alignment specs.

But what I have found this also clocks the suspension back a bit, causing the tire get closer to the firewall causing more rubbing on the cab mount and firewall.

I have found with the SPC's adjusted forward (taking away caster), then completely maxing out the LCA's cam bolts and finally using the SPC's camber adjustment to finalize the alignment. This gives you 2* caster at alignmment but also gives you almost 2" additional clearance between the tire and firewall. Making it a lot easier to fit 35's with a lot less cutting or hammering of firewall.

Been running them many years with no issues. If you tq the UBJ bolt to around 200ftlb they do not slide a bit. And I have jumped my rig.

ITs a bent bar, welded, poly bushings with a ball joint. They are priced how they should be. Everything else is over priced for what it really is. Ive seen $700 uniball crap ball joints loosen up in less than year, squeak like crazy and just push the tire into the firewall with its "additional caster".

I was just saying they work with extended as "entry level". Never was arguing that some wont work with extended travel. Just because they are cheaper does not mean they are entry level is what I was getting at.

And thats why I love the SPC's. I have actually clocked mine completely forward and then maxed the LCA's. Putting them near stock UCA location. This has given me enough caster for good daily driving and major clearance at the firewall. My rig will clear 35's on the street with no modification to firewall where with them set at the +2* caster location I had major issues just running 33's. I tested almost every ball joint location on them and had about 4 alignments in a 1 month period before I got them tuned perfect. No rubbing on or offroad at all when wheeling now.

My brother runs Icons on his 4th gen 4runner and is having major issues wheeling on 33's because they slam into the firewall. He had more clearance on stock UCA's. They also have completely loosened up in 1 year time. Pretty sad. He is upgrading to the delta joints but $250 for a pair of ball joints is pretty crazy.

Yeah either way you will be pretty set. For the prices both are very good arms. I got my SPC's when they where super low on price. Like $340 shipped years back.
