i have the regular 6 disc cd changer in my double cab pre-runner. does anyone know if i will have to do any wireing or splicing to make the sub and amp work in my truck. if so how difficult will it be?

So you bought a Sotck HU to replace the one currently in your truck and also want to install a JBL stock sub and amp?

If i am reading this right you would be much better off installing an aftermarket Amp box and sub and would get much better performance.

If you want to do this via the stock HU... yes it is possible but you need to get a "line out" i think is what they are called... They serve their purpose but they are not ideal, they convert the speaker signal to an RCA so you can hook up an AMP then power your subs.

i hope this helps... please fill us in if i didn't answer your questions.

you need an amp that has a line input on it or a line level converter.

I wouldn't install any factory audio. Aftermarket is better and sounds alot better.

You can get a custom speaker enclosure from ebay for both 10" and 12" subs for around $100. you would be better off saying yourself some time and money by just going aftermarket. you wont be happy with the JBL.
