Thanks, I didn’t realize that those had been tried already. Suppose I’ll just go with the JBL components and scrap the crossovers and tweeters.

I’ve already noticed a good improvement with the tweeters, sub and rears. Of course the rears don’t really do that much…

You might try setting the fade one click to the rear to make up for the lack of sound from the rear doors. That, and Spotify equalizer helps with sound improvement while using that app. one thing you'll notice is the Max volume could be a tad bit louder, but it's probably easier on the ears and speakers

Glad to see you're doing it. Sad to report that Chinese headunit fried. Ended back on here Googling Pioneer head units and this came across.

    Thanks for the inspiration!

I've heard good things about the Pioneer, but you might need that specific adapter for the OEM mic to work.

Any chance you've seen this thread? Replacing the JBL Entune 2.0 with Entune 3.0 (with wireless carplay adapter): https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/jbl-entune-2-0-to-entune-3-0-transplant.755012/#post-27242434

I did keep my 2019 JBL head unit. I thought about switching to the Entune 3.0 model to add Android auto/Apple Carplay, but I might end up going with this adapter instead: https://naviks.com/i-24076749-2016-2019-toyota-tacoma-entune-2apple-carplay-wired-wireless-android-auto-wired-wireless-usb-media-player-controlled-byoemtouch-screenoem-microphone.html?ref=category:1149762

The sound from stock JBL premium is not bad. The high volume level is lacking, but not enough to replace whole system.

Next up is the dynomat for the doors and rear panel, which will help quite a bit.

I could throw mine back in or just buy something else. Ugh. Gonna try and reflash. At this point, I feel as if I should have gutted it.

Are you talking reflash the Chinese unit? Or, the Entune 2.0 JBL Premium upgrade with Spotify? I still need to figure that out. I vote trying the OEM unit again. At least you'll get mode button back for F&R cameras

The PX6 had the F&R cameras. It was easy to just tap the icon to start the app and just switch on the fly.
I sold the Anytime Camera set up, unless there's some update I missed. Was that enabled or added to the factory set up?

I was the ass hat that rigged this thing all out with stupid crap. I left a lot of it in there, might be time to start taking things out. Somewhere between the tire calibrator and KTJO HUD, my ECT went out. That or it was the tune and I just never realize if it was removed. I think with the factory unit and upgrading all the speaker it was just too quiet and it didn't have the bass I wanted. I guess I messed up with speaker selection as a lot of bass came through the door speakers themselves. Then the PX6 would just mush the EQ settings of the subwoofer in with the speakers. I just have to remember what all is under there and how I wired stuff. I did try to flash the Chinese unit and it froze on install, so it might be brick bricked. Before it was freezing all the time and the truck would have to be off a while before I could start it again. Then I just drove without even using it.
Might try another ROM or two, then see what the manufacturer has. If they just posted the factory image for restore, it would have been fine. But it's like they dropped the line entirely and moved on.

I noticed a major difference when I went full woofers in the doors, compared to the 3-way you tested. Pull those out, unless you're going to rewire everything. Even still then, the base from the doors is more than half of my system (including more volume). So, ya, 3-way was all wrong for JBL premium front doors. (see 2nd paragraph)

The Navkis kit has screen mirroring, or you could try Beat Sonic. The multimedia update is found somewhere here :notsure::thumbsup: GL!

Ugh. Gonna try the factory head unit again.
Definitely fried the Android head unit. Might give it one last try before swapping.

Then between grabbing a head unit from trailgridpro since they have the plug and play bundles. I guess it's set even for the JBL Premium swaps. Then I'll just add a sub/amp box somewhere and call it a day. Not have to worry about PAC Man Pro Amp Man and stuff.

I'm checking on the Entune update for you. Gonna throw it in tomorrow or so. I'll let you know what happens.

Also, I suspect the Naviks being the same as this:
    https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804510812353.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.7.6ab1dd1chgFiXo&algo_pvid=d80f1107-9e72-4896-88a9-f766c21a528a&algo_exp_id=d80f1107-9e72-4896-88a9-f766c21a528a-3&pdp_ext_f={"sku_id":"12000031144098547"}&pdp_npi=2@dis!USD!300.99!189.62!!!!!@21021d7b16734342466255131d0688!12000031144098547!sea&curPageLogUid=EaTQhLQyN9Xe

Main difference is the wiring harness. The harness is just wired differently for the JBL version. But they are the same units.

    They just paint their box.

I'm thinking it was Alexa that was added. My Bad! :frusty:

    I'm anti-Alexa. All for Google.

This should be it. All the same.

So, this module was no good?
Is the Navkis kit the same?
