    CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) - Clemson University is celebrating the opening of its Canada Center.
    The Canadian ambassador to the United States, Gary Doer, is the main speaker at Tuesday's ceremony.
    Clemson officials say the center will support the school's projects with Canadian universities. It is housed in Clemson's Office of International Affairs.
    Clemson trustees approved the center last July.
    The chairman of Clemson's board is David Wilkins, the former U.S. Ambassador to Canada from 2005 through the end of President Bush's tenure, and an impetus for the center.
    Clemson spokesman Karl Hill says the center doesn't require any additional money.
    Gov. Nikki Haley is to attend the event. She is a Clemson graduate.
    Clemson officials have said the center will host a conference between leaders of universities in the United States and Canada.
