The Jeep is the 'acquired taste' of vehicles, like black jelly beans are to candy. Not everyone likes them but those who do are pretty loyal to them. My weekend toy is a 1998 TJ that I've had since day one and I have never had an issue with it. While it was fun the way it was, I had some professionals drop a HEMI in it a few years back to give it more 'flavor':D. I've always wanted a taco and will eventually build mine up, but it's a reliable daily driver/hauler when I need it. My Jeep is just as reliable, but you can't beat the creature comforts of the Taco.

This is a good-looking Jeep, kinda like the first FJs... which descended from the Toyota-copied Jeeps.

If you modify a Jeep, does it become less reliable than stock?

i was implying they havent made a truck yet so there are gonna be tweaks and peaks that arent gonna cost money but will visit shop. I know toyota had the recal on 2010 models. Tacomas started as trucks and will remain trucks.... i dont see why jeep has to design a truck.

Simply replace one of the bolts on the swaybar link with a quick-release pin. Unlike the 2nd gen. Taco, there is enough room for the swaybar to hang free on one end. Best of both worlds.

Damn 6.4L Hemi, bigger engine than the Tundra, but would you trust a frame splice like this?

No, it doesn't. My jeep has over 20k on it since the engine swap. Still just as reliable, if not more, than stock. 100% dealer serviceable, too.

Dude, what's with all the hatorade?
I had a '97 4WD XJ that I had to sell when I was unemployed, as keeping two cars w/o a paycheck was loony. Owned it for 4 years drove me to Cali and back to FL, and I NEVER had any problems with it. Heck, I cried when I sold that thing. On the road or off the road, it NEVER failed to perform.

A year ago I was offered a job in Denver, and I needed a 4WD again. Bought a '99 4WD XJ limited with 131K, and until I crashed and totaled it, again No problems.

Chrysler's may be junk, but Jeeps ain't.
