Chrysler will never mate a small diesel to a manual transmission. The four-door jeeps have been out-selling the two-door models for quite a while now. Pretty soon the only regular cabs left will have 8ft beds and a GVWR over 8500lbs.

    Honestly, you're not missing much.

Mostly, it dinged the Wrangler for poor pedestrian protection and lack of driver safety assist features as compared to other new cars.

LOL so the bumper "chin" on the 3rd gen that we all loved to hate was built for that purpose... I refuse to let someone throw this 1-star report out there as a negative when it's actually a direct result of the design work that we all hated on the 3rd gen trucks.

While I do like what Toyota is doing with TSS on all new vehicles, and I would be bummed out to not have adaptive cruise on a Gladiator, it doesn't typically play into safety (crash test) ratings, and that seems a bit unfair as well that it's being rated on that.

Pretty sure Michael Meyers drove one of those in Halloween H20. Sweet rig. I’d love to have one.

My 1st JK had 80k miles with a lot of hard wheeling and was almost problem free! Had a common issue with front axle seals crapping out but never an issue to warranty, then one dealer said we see why this has been happening, the last dealership didn’t put the guides in! Then no issues after a tech did it right. My 2009 Tacoma was the most problematic vehicle I have ever owned. This whole keeps are shit got reliability is an old way of thinking, just like the new Tacoma’s are not the Toyota’s of the 80’s! But one of these two has changed for the better.......

Well yeah, especially when they offer the 4 door Ram for a lease of $149/month. Sales would naturally be up, but I wonder at what cost to profit?

FCA margin has been going up for about a year or so. They match margins from GM and beat out Ford while continuing to see sales growth.

Yes, I see that globally they were up quite a bit, but I wonder w/r/t USA only, what they're making on those cheap RAMs.

I was interested in Sergio Marchionne, and he seemed like a very capable leader.

I know his management style was different than what the executives at Chrysler were accustomed to.

He died on the job, but some of the changes he was instituting have to be making differences for the better.

Just because Chrysler products weren't great doesn't mean that it can't change.

In my opinion.... and I am not a fan of their products, fwiw.

Might want to check on the FIAT electronics...as our mechanics have stated "FIAT loves electronics it is just too bad they suck at it."

Chrysler's MOPAR parts name used to mean something good but in recent years they've been outsourcing to the cheapest supplier.
