I would say the main issue with the Jeep is it is a Mopar. My dad has owned a jeep and I have owned a ram and they are bad quality vehicles. I’d take 1 Tacoma over 4 new jeeps Just my opinion tho

That's the model I would own if it could pass the stupid ass emissions or crash test bs here in the states. Not exactly sure why it's not available here maybe someone could elaborate if we aren't veering to far off topic.

Someone posted up something about crazy low Tacoma sales in Canada, surprised you see any roaming the streets.

As someone who owns a built 17 year old taco (crawler, lockers, flat belly, etc) with 230k miles. I have owned my truck for 11 years and loved every time i start it up.

I will find it hard to not buy the gladiator. Dana 44’s factory, removable roof tons of mods cheap as hell. Yes please. Wranglers hold their value decently, I assume this will as well. But the new Tacoma doesn’t have me interested enough to have a payment. This does, but I will wait till mid summer at the earliest.

The 1st year jls are having issues like crazy (random fires when parked etc) I would wait at least 2 or 3 years before getting it. Also the ceo of fiat said they would make it expensive on purpose

I put over fifty miles on my truck tonight driving Uber Eats and it didn't break a sweat! Again, I'd like to see a Mopar product do that when it's pushing 95K miles!

A mopar vehicle with 100 000 miles can't drive 50 miles in one night? You're joking?

Even if it ran and drove, they all have that electronic shit that may or may not still be working properly at 100K. And to be fair, anything with a HEMI or a Cummins is good, but I believe that just about any Chrysler products with less than 8 cylinders are garbage. My neighbor's mother-in-law (who lives with them) has a 2005 Chrysler 300 Touring, purchased new, with less than 90K original miles. The car is literally falling apart. The hood won't even stay open by itself, and the radio only picks up one station. Just a few weeks ago, I had to jumpstart the 300 with my Tacoma, and they're still not entirely sure why the battery died. This car, of course, has the 3.5L V6. The 3.5L V6 is okay, but the 2.7L V6 is a piece of shit.

Also, a few weeks ago, I detailed a brand new 2019 Wrangler with less than 100 miles; The check engine light was on!

    Fiats also suck!

Also, the dealership where I work uses Chrysler Town & Country minivans of varying years (2011-2014ish) as courtesy shuttles. All of these have well over 150K miles, and at least one had about 186K miles the last time I checked. Occasionally a check engine light may come on, but I have driven these vans before (driving them from the detail shop to the rental car place) and they all run and drive great. The minivan is one of the few non-truck vehicles made after 1980 that Chrysler actually got right!

This new Gladiator is going to be awesome on the trails after the owners modify them

I would install Currie Rock Jock axles front /rear , Atlas T/case with 4.0 gearing , 6" suspension and riding on 37" IROK tires !!!!

Also a Hellcat 6.2L 707hp engine would work very well

My Dad had a Chrysler Minivan before he passed away, seemed like a pretty decent vehicle.

Can anybody think of a Chrysler product made after 1980, not including trucks, Jeeps, minivans, muscle cars, a Shelby product, and Mitsubishi-designed sports cars (think Dodge Stealth), that wasn't a steaming turd?

I think it's pretty sweet honestly. Doesn't look too hot stock but a 3" lift and 37's would be easy to fit ... and it would look badass.

I'm not a fan of the pentastar, having owned one, but the turbo 4 banger and diesel look interesting for sure.

    My aunt and uncle out in California bought a Grand Caravan new in 1994. They special ordered it and it was relatively unique as far as options go;

    1. My uncle did not want power windows due to problems he'd had with them breaking in the past; This van had crank windows, but it also had A/C, cruise, tilt, and power mirrors.
    2. My aunt and uncle wanted captain's chairs in the back so their young daughters wouldn't be close together and fighting on long trips.
    3. The van did have air-conditioning, but my uncle opted not to get rear A/C because it was an expensive option, and they lived in Northern California where the extra A/C wasn't often needed.

They owned that van for ten years, and put over 180,000 miles on it. It was ultimately reliable and never once failed a smog test, and they finally got rid of it when the A/C compressor went.
