Jegs? Junk or just good deals?

So I stumbled across this website JEGS today while surfing around the internet, and it just seems to me like their prices are too good to be true.

I was looking into budget items to start making a bumper and other armor for my truck, so I figured I would need at least:

Tube Bender
Plasma cutter (don't necessarily need it but it would help a lot.)
TIG or MIG welder + gas tank

The reviews seem to be decent, other than one or two defectives out of 35+ reviews... Am I missing something here?

I've heard of them plenty before, I believe on motor trend youtube shows. They seem like a good company.

 

Jegs is one of the old-school legit brands. Got a good chuckle out of the idea that they're being newly discovered

 

Hell yeah, just making sure... I would like to build a simple tube bumper and maybe some sliders. For the price of just buying the bumper I can get a hydraulic bender and mostly all the supplies for the tig welder that I listed.

 

I don't think that is a tube bender is what you want. That will kink the hell out of tube steel. I think you need something like a JD squared

but yeah, Jegs is real old

 

Nothing bad about Jegs, I always buy speed parts from there. Never really got tools there though, they have a pretty good rep can't imagine they're selling junk

 

Right here in Delaware, Ohio! I've bought tons of stuff from them. My only qualm is that I have to have them ship it from 4 minutes away and I can't just go pick it up. Otherwise you can't beat their online price matching.

 

I bought my u-joints from them. Best deal I could find online at the time.

 

I have bought name brand stuff from them, it was the best deal on the internet at that time.

Also, if you register your email with them, they send out discount codes.
Something like $10 off orders over $100, $20 off over $200, and I think the highest was $30 off orders over $300. Something like that...

I have been using Jegs for over a decade, they get tons of ad time on the weekend morning car shows. Or at least they used to when I watched those.
