JFR Equal Length Y-Pipe for 2nd Gen Tacoma, T4R, & FJ Cruisers

    As you were using URD headers @Roostfactor they should bolt up to the JFR/Stock Y no problem I assume? Debating the F-it to CA and doing LT Headers anyway. Too many benefits are powerwise and pretty sure I can make it work. May grab me a set.

    Anyone have info on JBA vs URD and why URD over JBA? Both are around the same price point so was curious.

    I believe urd have equal length runners and jba is LT but not equal length.

    @nudavinci64 you plan to R&R them every two years for smog? Or you have other options?

    Is the issue with running long tube headers in CA a visual inspection for missing cats or a scan for "incomplete" O2 data similar to what @JuanitoBunito is dealing with

    Both really. So if you delete the code the cat codes will never be “complete”. If you have working sims this bypasses that. Now you will still fail the visual, but that is much easier to get around versus having any sort of engine code or incomplete monitors.

    Too bad adding in certified high flow cats post equal length headers doesn't cut it. Prices aside.

    Side note, when I built my Bimmer's exhaust, I modified a Tacoma cat to be swap in. Cut the openings to 3". Took the car to get it inspected, and the guy couldn't get the ODB 2 scanner to work. Put it on the sniffer.

    Even with the cat somewhat further away than stock, and only one instead of two, it still passed easily. So there is potential to pass a sniffer.... If you had to with relocated cat/s.

    I went to order more catalytic converters and they are now twice what they were before so I am losing $$$ on the "aft of y-pipe" parts.

    So, with this latest development, I propose this to be fair:

    All that have prepaid their deposit will still get the agreed upon price as I stand by my word even if it means me losing money.
    For those who have not paid any deposit (my choice because I haven't been exactly timely in my fab work and don't even know how much longer I will be doing this), will have to pay the difference depending on pricing.
    I really never made much profit off the "mid" pipe as I originally made it available to allow the easiest installation possible to whatever peoples existing or future plans for their exhaust would be.

    Now that I am paying roughly $140 for just a catalytic converter changes things. Let me put this into perspective.

    $50 for a 4' section of 3" tubing
    $100 for the resonator
    $140 for the catalytic converter
    $25 for the flex pipe

    So now it costs me $315 just in material to make the extension as people desire. This does not include my time or consumables!

    As stated earlier, I will honor ALL previous orders WITH DEPOSITS as that was our initial agreement but going forward, I just can't afford or justify losing money to fulfill future requirements.

    I hope y'all understand as I purchase as a consumer so I pay retail (don't want to make this a business), so for all future "mid pipe" purchases, the price will depend on market price unless you want to provide me the components, (except tubing) to fabricate the "mid pipe".

    Is this fair to y'all?

    I'm open to suggestions and want to be as fair as possible,
