    Question someone in here may have an answer to. Will 3rd gen secondary cats/y pipe bolt up to 2nd gen manifold/headers? I'm looking to do a crossover/equal length with cats but don't want to cut up my original y pipe and found a 3rd gen set for sale local to me.

    Only asking as according to latest posts, this is NLA

    what are folks doing for a drop-in Y pipe, that also functions as High Clearance mod?

    the idea is:
    -pass smog
    -bolt right in, no cutting or welding needed. DIYable at home
    -at front, bolt up to factory downpipes/headers/cats
    -at rear, connect to catback (in my case TRD catback)
    -raised clearance in order to run flush Trans Skid

    such a thing would eliminate the need to go to an exhaust shop,
    that, from what I've seen, is $300+ just for a basic reroute mod that comes nowhere close to something like this. And likely retains stock pipe diameter.

    (early 4.0L 4x4 manual)

    URD Y Pipe, if it's still available as well. Since I'm also in California I purchased JBA shorty headers that I'll weld on since they're CARB legal and also put on the URD Y pipe and just change it to the stock Y pipe every 2 years when smog time rolls around.
