    For a 2-piece shaft, did you ensure that shaft #1 was in spec, then use it as a baseline for shaft #2?

    Regardless, it's very clear I need to shim my axle. Thanks for the tip!! :hattip:

    So I have a new valve body + the solenoid that handles the lockup has been tweaked by my mechanic buddy. I have not felt a vibe since he worked on my trans. I had previously had my driveshaft balanced. That didn’t take care of the vibe.

    My problem was I had excessive play in the slip joint. I found this after I replaced the u-joints and CB. The local shop could have repaired it, but the cost would have been almost as much as a new DS. Easy choice for me.

    Thank you! No I sure dont but there are half a dozen people here that have watched and helped.

    It's all about fitment and prep. It makes the welding process easy. The hard part is when you have gaps. This will be easy to see on the cat and resonator because there is a gap due to the loose slip fit.
