You welcome! No better way to welcome a time change then to be working on a Tacoma. That hour flew by in just a moment of time.

E8 star point socket! Don’t remove any studs you don’t have too are my lessons learned here.

Which studs did you have to remove to do the install? My understanding is that the top row of studs on both sides need to come out to get the headers in. I'd appreciate any helpful hint. I've had my headers sitting in my garage since Dec. I have nightmares about having a stud break or not being able to get a nut loose.

Top row needs swapped out with the studs supplied with the kit, depending on model year.

Having the aft studs (top and bottom) removed will make it easier to position the headers into place. Once in place, we found it easier to pull the header away from the engine and install the remaining studs. They can be installed through the holes in the header, but there is little room to work with.

Take your time and expect delays. This is not a one person job...

As soon as my front wheels were off and the well skirts were removed, I soaked down the mounting hardware with WD-40 and let them sit for an hour or so.

I’ve been spraying them down with Kroil once a week for the past two months. Yeah I know it’s overkill. But there’s no kill like overkill.

    Especially with anything exhaust related.

Plan for twice the amount of time you think this will take to do...

Did you add it after the fact? Curious how much of a difference it made for you.

A torch and wax work very well at the time of disassembly. Only bad experience I had was scalding hot wax running down my thumb.
All studs came out without issue and were replaced with LS1 ARP studs.
I also loosened up one engine mount at a time and tilted the engine quite a bit for more wiggle room.
Used this thing with great results... Shop Iron 16023 3/8" Drive Stud... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00265M8N4?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I’m going to add mine in tomorrow. I’m waiting for some bends I ordered which should be arriving today.

Ok cool. I have almost everything you listed. Now I just have to just eat some concrete, harden the F up and do it.

That steering shaft coupling gave me grief. Removed the bolts completely, slid a thick washer into the split and threaded the bolts in through the back side to open it up.
Don’t be shy about moving the engine. I did solid mounts while I was in there as well.

On mine, I installed it when I transitioned from my old school flowmaster to a complete URD cat back. I did however help my buddy install the same resonator on his Jeep. After he installed a rather racey and raspy exhaust system he needed to mellow it out. The resonator worked out awesome. It trimmed a decibel or two off and eliminated the raspy notes. Actually ended up making his jeep sound rather decent. It also eliminated the drone he was experiencing.
