Suppressor is nice, can not so much.

What I mean is since there would most likely be more than one "suppressor", I would call it a system.:D

    Happy 4th y'all!

    Who lives near Flagstaff?
I'll be driving through on my way to So Cal and could stop for a few to eat or something.

Not necessarily close, but I was going to try and figure something out. Might not happen this week though. If you end up further North for any reason let me know.

Also, welcome to California, you’re going to want to hang on to something. Hope your family is doing ok.

No doubt! My 18 and 15 yo boys got their 1st quake experience last night.
I grew up in Chatsworth, CA so it's nothing new to me but was an interesting "welcome back"!
My bro a sis in law were at the epicenter of the Northridge quake (I was in San Diego at the time) and they were like...."damn, seriously! They live in CO now and got their welcome back the other night.

    Truth!
I lived in Tucson for 16 years and people would say that. My reply was always "so is an oven and it cooks food"!
Now I've spent more time in the humidity I gladly welcome the dryness! I just pour/pore sweat in TX. I'm comfortable in 100° 10% humidity but am a hurting unit in 90° 50% humidity!

I was little kid when we went through the Northridge earthquake. The only thing I remember is me waking up to my dad throwing me under the bed and the house shaking. Earthquakes are no joke.

I used to live in New Orleans and I can’t think of a more humid place than the South. The good thing was that I didn’t have to iron my shirts. The wrinkles would come out in the humidity.

Anyway back to topic. Does a stock ECU detune the engine? The reason I’m asking is the truck ran awesome the first few days after installing the y pipe but now it feels sluggish.

Also for those with a supercharger, should I do the UCON by URD or the HP tune? And do I need to run bigger injectors and fuel pump if I want to run a 2.7” pulley?

My personal recommendation is Hptuners over UCON. More control over engine parameters and you're not restricted to one person controlling your tuning...all for 1/3 of the price. Only drawback of hp is you have to know/learn how to use the software or know someone else who does.
For the 2.7 pulley, bigger fuel pump is highly recommended. Larger injectors are a good idea but you can get away with the TRD injectors using the FPR mod. Just know that you're pushing very close to the injector's max capacity at that point.

Ok thanks for the info! Just one point of clarification. What does FPR stand for?

Thanks for the replies @JacksonTacoma! Spent the day hanging and getting to know the legendary @Murphinator in person.
    Great day!

FPR stands for Fuel Pressure Regulator.

Did you disconnect the battery when installing? If not,
disconnect battery for 5 mins then restart truck when cold if possible then drive it. The ecu is trying to adapt to compensate for the new exhaust but its using old reference (restrictive exhaust) so its relearning from old values. Best to reset the ecu by disconnecting battery and allowing ecu to learn from a clean slate.

Bigger fuel pump is always a recommendation regardless of pulley size to ensure plenty of fuel is always available (increased headroom).
I have tested a 2.7 pulley with stock sc injectors and I dont recommend running it without either fpr mod or larger injectors. My injector duty cycle (idc) with a 2.7 pulley and UCON was over 93%. Not safe!

As @JacksonTacoma stated, UCON is plug and play and self learning which is great if you dont want to learn about your tune and just want a simple solution. It works well for the most part BUT you dont have the ability to (see) the tune and you cannot change anything in the tune.
I have a UCON, removed it when HP came out and I'm never looking back! BUT I'm a nerd and want to be able see and manipulate whatever parameters I want in my tune which is not an option with the UCON.

I would go HPtuner 8 days a week! @JustDSM is truly amazing with tuning with an equally amazing (in a good way) value!

I am learning tuning from him all the time. Send him a pm for more info. Just be prepared to have your mind blown! Yeah, he really is that good!
