Here are some pics from @Lucario Runner MOTEC y-pipe. It is a tedious project.

Since my last post on this thread I've been very busy learning to tig weld and building a couple systems for my V8 4Runner, a bit in part to Roostfactor's inspiration.
Hope I'm not spamming you guys here, I just know you guys are interested in custom exhausts or it might even give you some more ideas for future systems.

First was a equal length full 2.5" Y: (more equal length might be more appropriate)

Next up a catback to replace my Dirty Deeds setup:

Then a dual system with the same magnaflow mufflers as my single, and a homemade x crossover dumped before the axle. Super happy with the dual, sounds even better than any of my systems before it, and really scoots along when over 2000 rpms. I might have lost some low end torque but it does sound awesome...

And this weekend I built a welding table, had the laser at work cut it out and I welded it:

Anyway, that's all I've got for now, waiting to receive my DT long tube headers before doing too much more, although I might start costing a titanium single muffler system. I might dyno test some of these setups in the future too.

Check out my youtube channel for sound clips because I know someone will probably ask

@Inv4drZm ........just listened to a couple vids....most notably by far your dual exhaust. That sound is nothing short of PERFECT for a complete system. I’m very jelly

With long tube headers, they will eliminate the last two cats in the system, it should sound even more nasty. I may need to weld in a pair of resonators but it should still be sick.

I did the quick math, it would run $1500 in materials alone from TiCon which is the place I use for my stainless systems.

But you can get tubing w/ .039" wall vs stainless .065" wall, and its almost 1/2 the weight of stainless, so roughly 1/3 the weight overall. So instead of 50lbs it would be 17ish lbs, not very cost effective I guess, especially if I can find thinner stainless tubing.

    Scrap that idea for now.

I was always under the impression Titanium isn't the best choice b/c of it's thermal properties.
I had some inconel headers(downtubes) and midpipes on a previous car. Have you looked into inconel? Worked very well...loved that setup.

If Titanium is good for turbine blades, turbocharges and race exhausts, it's good enough. But we drive 2+ ton pickups. Not worth it.

Titanium actually dissipates heat better than stainless. Stainless and steel in general suck at heat dissipation. Though you might be right, titanium may not be "the best" choice. Inconel might be "better".
