JFR Equal Length Y-Pipe for 2nd Gen Tacoma, T4R, & FJ Cruisers

I already purchased the FIC injectors a while back with a group buy. I had planned on better exhaust.. Had honestly planned on a URD full setup. But now ive found this. But... Im just kinda at a loss here with the other issues. Ive been to a few shops but nobody can seem to tell me anything, and I don't have much time to ever get by a shop as it is, I have like, a day or 2 every few weeks to try.

 

If you wanted to change your plan from a URD y-pipe to a JFR it would only help......not to say that URD’s is bad if that’s how you wanted it. I had a URD y-pipe on my truck for the last 4 years and just sold it for my JFR. Headers, everyone swears by URD’s long tubes. And doing them will simply eliminate the rear cats from the equation, which I’m sure you know. Since you got the injectors you might as well use them, especially since you can adjust for them with your hptuner.

 

I'm one of the people that will swear by the URD long tube headers. Amazing set of headers. Quite an operation to install, but 100% worth it.

 

Just got mine on last weekend. Holy hell, my hands are still recovering. No issues at all, can't wait to pair with JFR Y-pipe though. They aren't really worth it on their own unless followed suit all the way to the tailpipe.

 

Section 3 goes directly after your beast Y pipe. Final welding tomorrow then off to the ceramic coating shop. Section 4 just needs 4 SS 304 hangers burned in and it's all done.

Birthday welding session was a success. Section 3 is complete. This is a perfect specimen to mate with your insane Y-Pipe.

Just finished test driving my new setup and fuck, it sounds so much better now! I absolutely love it. 2.5” tube, magnaflow high flow cat, vibrant ultra quiet, and magnaflow 24” muffler.

The Borla catback muffler had a pretty high pitched tone that I didn’t like. This is much deeper and smooth.

 

Sound Clip?

Pretty sure this is about exactly what I want. I don't need the cat necessarily.. But I need something to mate to headers and y pipe.... to not be very loud but not sound terrible.

 

I will try to remember to get a sound clip. I debated trying it without the resonator first, but I’m glad I put it in. It is louder than I expected, but I love the sound

im kinda having an idea of ordering a bunch of stuff, and goin to texas for a weekend...…. haha. Ive got an HP tuner to mess with, cam gears to mess with, need an intake, and need exhaust, and im pretty sure this is the route I wanna go. URD headers, This y pipe, vibrant resonator, magnaflow 24 inch.... Need a supercharger too, but not sure if I wanna do that just yet... That might warrant another trip.. haha.
