    It went to @sf.larry. Sorry!

Come on down @TRON. We can do some electrical and fab up some exhaust for you

Hey Roost hope all is well. I'm a bit upset I'm still the last one on the list, hahaha. Anyhow, I was going to PM you, but this may be beneficial to others.
While I wait for my JFR Y-pipe I am researching a Helmholtz or 1/4 wave exhaust resonator as I have a drone in my Magnaflow cat back at 129hz. The frequency can reach 151hz, but that is usually on harder acceleration, and not cruising unless its nearing triple digits.
So my question is, will the Y-pipe change this drone? I assume the answer is yes, and that this can't really be predicted. I planned on waiting until my Y-pipe is ready in the event that the frequency changes. I'll be sure to post back with my results this spring when my y-pipe gets finished.

The y-pipe eliminates rasp but not drone.

As you are finding out, many variables affect drone.

I did a bit of experimenting with a 1/4 wave resonator but ultimately removed it. Approx 118hz was where my drone was.

Having a high flow muffler with integrated resonator helps significantly.

What's the approximate case length and diameter of the keg? Currently running a dynomax 17698 - but it isn't stainless and don't know how long it'll last, so wondering if the keg is similar size. Thanks.

I think diameter is approx 10.5" but I will try to measure later.
This fits easily in the Tacoma.

Thanks guys - same length and a little bit larger diameter, so should fit with minimal modification.

    An update.

I am almost finished moving in and doing mandatory (wife directed) house improvements. By tomorrow I hope to be moving the focus on shop organization.

I still need to get real power to it as it currently only has one run of 14 gauge wire on a 15 amp breaker (who does this?!)

I bought a wire tone chaser to hopefully trace the wiring path under the cement deck then will need to figure out how to unobtrusively run a larger conduit the whole length to allow for more and larger wiring for the shop.

Once I figure out working solutions I will finally be able to start back up on fabrication.

I cant wait!!! Its much more satisfying than wall repair and painting.

Well, installing a sub panel off the house main is not feasible.

Working with the utility company to install a second meter direct to the shop. Very frustrating but I am trying I promise!

Can't the utility company see that it's affecting production of high performance taco parts? What's wrong with these people???

    Man! Let me tell ya!
Spent the last couple days trying to decide the local utility codes and requirements.

Dont want to/cant afford an electrician and need to have everything up to snuff on my end to prevent delays.

Such a pain in the arse when I can see the finish line but must wait for others to finish.

    20200220_133809.jpg
Stake with pink flag is where utility is going to install a new pole to tap off the existing electrical line. Then I am going underground to the shop.
Cant just go to hardware to get material because it all has to meet local utility guidelines. Grrr.

That's just to get them to "set" the meter after I install the meter socket. Then I get to wire the inside of shop.

Well it's only 24x24 outside dimensions but we also have a regular garage so all non shop specific stuff will go in the other garage to keep as much shop space as possible.

    20200221_141310.jpg

I'll try to take more pics as things progress to keep all the anxiously patient people in the loop.
