jl 300/4 problems

So this might of been my problem to start out with but....
i bought a jl 300/4 from a guy on craigs for $200
he demoed it an everything worked but when i got it professionally
installed my drivers front side was destorted
(they said the channel wasnt working)
so i had them switch the outputs and it traveled
to the other side so i know its the amp and not the speaker

Could it possiabally be the shops wiring? Or do you think it was that way to start with?


Kinda bummed cause i think i need a new amp now

 

Don't be bummed, give JL a quick call, they stand by their product.

Chances are that they can fix it for a small charge, even without a warranty.

especially if it just one channel that is failing on you.

 

Yep. Have a buddy @ Car Toys he said the same thing. Send it in and they will hook you up. I have a JL 600/4 HD in my wifes ride and a JL 500/1 that I blew once out of waranty trying to do some thing stupid with it and the shipping cost almost as much as the repair.

 

Its weird to cause the guy i bought it from is also
confused and is still in contact cause if he was ripping
me off he would ignore my calls but ill go down to a differnt
place then i got it installed cause they do shitty work
