i just wired everything up, spooled the cable all the way out, then tried the remote and it did nothing..

 

im thinking the wire diagram that came with the winch must be wrong.. i hooked up everything exactly the way it says, so it must be wrong..

 

you test the switch and see where the wires go then boom done

I think what happened is when I took it all apart to replace the wires, i used the stupid piece of shit schematic that came with it and mustve put the wires in the wrong places.

 

plug your controller in
you should have a power from your battery and a ground and then 2 other wires
one which is in other is out
use your tester and hit in on the controller and see which get conutinuity

red long and red short need to be swapped.

 

that wont tell me anything if the power wire isnt in the right position

 

you dont need power you want continuity

 

ground wire should be near the bottom of said winch

b to b = red
c to c = yellow
d to d = black
thin black a to a on bottom aka ground
long black = ground to bottom aka A
and pos to pos from battery

 

the top 2 "in a row" on winch are c black "inside"
and term b red outside
the single behind it is yellow
and bottom is black term A =ground

 

Thats the schematic that came with the winch. its wrong.

no shit.. but that doesnt do anything if the wires inside the box are wrong.





I put it together the way the schematic says, but it is wrong. it has 12v long and red short swapped. I changed them and it works fine.
