I believe you have inspired me to go with a 265/70 tire when I get new ones. I was debating between those and a 255/75 but I think that I will be just as happy with the 265/70 and the price difference was borderline if I wanted to venture away from that common of a size

Tires are a tough decision. Now that I've re done the suspension and I have more lift, I would like a taller tire. 255s are cool.. ^john (hard2kill) has a set and they look great. I also like the idea of a wide footprint for better flotation on snow, sand, mud, which a pizza cutter would be too narrow for. This leads me to think I would like to go for 285s, 295s, or even 315s like jw (N0RTH's) truck

Lol. One that he never installed? Do you know how much he's asking?

I'd like to see what happens with the lemon lawyer first, but that's tempting.

He's asking for $800... Great deal because it is local and already set up with a twin stick...

Good. I'm broke as a joke right now so I don't need any more projects. Hopefully the lemon lawyer gets me a settlement and I can use that to pay for everything to do the swap.

I've been debating for months on what size tread to go. I am just ready to go with something and the fact a 265 is a nice width to me, and they will look good is enough reason to just go with them.

You've got that right! I'm going to be doing quite a bit of driving this winter so getting some new tread is going to be a certain.

Haha yea I sliced one open at beech creek and luckily just chunked one real bad at raush.
Sears ordered me 2 new ones that luckily the road hazard warranty will be covering.
I will be upgrading to bigger tires in the spring time I think. Right now I'm planning on going the same route as JW (N0rth) and go to 315 Goodyear Wrangler MTR Kevlars.

I'd also be regearing to 4.88's and throwing in a front locker while I'm at it.

Then I just need to do the FJ twin stick tcase with a crawler box, and a rear bumper and I think I'll be pretty well set. lol

thats an awful lot to get done by spring bro...would be awsome though!!!!!! id like to run 315's but you basically have to remove your inner fender which i feel opens the engine compartment up to too much debris...my motor is covered in an inch of mud and crap with them in...at a full 3in lift with proper trimming and front bumper and no flares you can flex out 295's an even 305's with the perfect offset....i just cant justify the amount of work needed for 315's to gain a half inch of clearence.....but with that said they do look badass.......im gonna order allpro standard 3in leaf pack and probly 10in walker evens shocks this month....same set up chris is running...

Yea the 315's are just an idea.. well.. everything is just an idea. I am not planning on doing any more mods till snowboarding season is over. I have a ton of research to do before deciding on a tire size.

for what you do, you'd be ok with the all pro front bumper. less wait time and cheaper shipping.

Yea thats about the price I've had in mind. I'd like to help with your install where ever possible so I've got an idea of how it all works.
Let me know about the skids, I could meet you somewhere.. what time are you heading to NY?
