I found this site with an Internet search last Thursday. I was looking for answers to the "squeaking" problem with my truck. After reading the posts on this site, I knew what was causing the problem and how to fix it. Followed the suggestions yesterday evening -- no more sqeaking this morning. I decided that I had to become part of this helpful, knowledgable community. Thanks for the help. I'm looking forward to learning more from you all.

Sqeaking was from dirt in the springs. Jacked up the truck and sprayed wd40 (enough to choke a hamster was the instruction from the post) between them. No more sqeak.

    Welcome- Keep enjoying the board!!
You may find that WD-40 can attract and hold dirt pretty well..There are other options out there.

I live in Kansas -- 30 miles NE of Topeka. I'm hoping to get a lot of good information. In fact, I have a question about dealership maintenance -- I'm going to head back to the other part of the forum to ask it later on.

I just did a quickie with the WD40. I'm planning on really cleaning them out and go with the silicone spray when I get some time.
